The National Weather Service has issued winter storm warnings for Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and Washington state through Friday or Saturday. A Pacific storm is expected to drop into the Great Basin early Friday morning, then move eastward. The storm will be accompanied by a cold front bringing numerous showers and thunderstorms with snow becoming widespread over the region after the front passes. Gusty winds will also occur ahead of the front.

In response to the warnings for the Denver Metro area, Frontier Airlines has put the following travel policy guidelines into place for all customers scheduled to travel on April 4, 2009, who purchased tickets on or before April 2, 2009:

Customers scheduled on the above dates may elect to stand by free of charge on an earlier date or time. Origin and destination cities must remain the same.

For customers who have already started their travel, rules and restrictions regarding standard change fees, advance purchase, day or time applications, blackouts, and minimum or maximum stay requirements have been waived. Origin and destination cities must remain the same. Changes must be made by midnight, April 4, 2009 and travel completed by April 18, 2009.

For customers who have not begun travel, they may make one change to their travel plans without a change fee. All rescheduled travel may be subject to higher fares if it does not meet the original rule or booking class.

Frontier urges those with flexibility in their travel to please consider traveling at an earlier time or date. You can check schedule availability on FrontierAirlines.com. If you are interested in traveling on an earlier flight, please call our reservations center at 1-800-432-1359 or visit the ticket counter at your departing airport. To avoid lines at the airport Frontier recommends customers check in online within 24 hours of their departure time.

Frontier has also established a Twitter account with the sole purpose of providing operational updates due to inclement weather. Follow them at twitter.com/FrontierStorm for real-time updates on their operation throughout this winter storm.
